We know your parents must be both excited and nervous about your impending departure to Buffalo, and about what your life at UB is going to be like. We’d like you to know that our Parents’ page of our website provides lots of answers to the most frequently asked questions by UB parents. Please share this link with your parents to help them get the information they crave!
We’d also like to mention that your parents can talk to your International Admissions Ambassador if they’d like, since your Ambassador can answer many of the questions that are concerning your parents right now. And if your parents give their email address to your Ambassador, your parents will also be included in special messages sent from our office to help them learn more about UB. They’ll also be invited to join our Parent Chats, where they can chat live online with your Ambassador as well as International Admissions professional staff members.
In addition, we’d like to invite your parents to take part in some aspects of the UBelong Summer Seminar with you. Our Summer Seminar shared experience centers around a film that we all watch independently, then, with the help of Viewer’s Guides from distinguished UB faculty and alumni, discuss from an academic perspective. Participating in our movie club isn’t just fun and a good way to get to know other new students over a shared activity; it helps prepare you to objectively view your world and intelligently share your opinion, skills that are crucial to the university experience.
